As part of the 50th Anniverery I thought it would be a great time to get out an enjoy some seat time in a DualSport Manxter or Offroad 2+2.

After talking to Bruce and Winnie they were keen to get out as well so the day Trip is scheduled for 2 Nov 14 Meeting at Lake Henshaw CA 92070 meeting at 0800 for Breakfast before heading across the Valley to the Salton Sea for Lunch then back to Truckhaven.

If you need any more details please contact me and I will help you in where we can.

So far the starters for the trip are :

Bruce and Winnie - Bruce's Manx Kickout - Traditional
Brad - Manxter DualSports
Mark - Manxter DualSports
Jon - Manxter 2+2 Offroad Spec
Mike - Manxter DualSports

Should be a great day, I will have several GoPor's to hand around so we can get some cool footage and enjoy the company of some fellow offroad enthusiasts.

Buggy On !!

Not long now ... have been out testing the new GPS Trackers which should add some cool effects on the videos.

I plan on being there. Hopefully will be headed out before the rain starts here. Looks like it going to be a good storm with snow in th mountains.

Well the day has come and gone and I think it is fair to say a great time was had by all. We eneded up with 4 Awesome DualSport Buggies, Bruce in his Kick-Out and Nate in his GlitterBug.

Thought I might post a few pictures of a quick cruise out to the sand today. It was an AWESOME day and we could not have asked for better weather.

Trip report will follow in the coming weeks but needless to say it will not be the last trip we do this season !!

Thanks to Bruce, Winnie, Nate, Pat, Mark, Mike, Joe, Joe, Craig, Stuart and Jon for making it a great day.

Buggy On !!

Well the day had arrived, my first trip out to the Desert with some fellow Manxter owners. I was greeted by a pleasnant surprise at 6.00 am when I got up, my 7 year old son was standing in the door of his bedroom and proudly announced he wanted to out to the desert as well, I knew me might be tight on seats but the beauty of the DualSports was the rear seat so I knew there would be room regardless of who else showed up.

We quickly shoveled in some breakfast before heading to the garage to fire up the silver beast. The DualSports had only been with me for a month of so and in that time had seen a lot of love and tweaks. As the Subaru Engine fired up I was released the new MAP with cold start was working well, as it sat their idling I began to run through everything in my head over and over as now the son was with me it was even more important to not break down and leave us sitting on the road.

With everything hopefully thought of and tool loaded to take care of any unforeseen events we both jumped in, strapped in and headed for the start point at Bruce and Winnie's. As we cut through the morning fog I was relieved in the way the side curtains sealed onto the body and top. It did highlight several holes in the front fiberglass and the need to seal the dash area but over all I could see the setup would make the wife and family very happy when cruising on the brisk morning.

There was some signs left of the previous days dust suppression .. but if the reports held true it was going to be a great day.

As we rounded the corner the sun beamed in letting me know it was time to motor as being late for the event wouldn't look good.

We soon arrived at Bruce and Winnie's and the crew had begun to assemble.

Greetings where exchanged and cars checked out. As the start time approached we had our numbers, 4 x Manxters, 1 x Kick-Out Traditional and a Glitter Bug

We had a good collection of setups and power plants and where lucky enough to have a VW N/A, VW Turbo, Subaru N/A and Subaru Turbo to get a good feel between.

It was shaping up to be a great day and spirits where high as we headed for Lake Henshaw to have some breakfast.
